I spent a number of hours trying to boot a SD card written with a pfSense image using the TinyLinux. My steps were:
1. Use the TinyCore USB installer on Windows to write TC to a USB stick.
2. Copy the Nano 64, serial pfSense GZIP image to the USB stick
3. Boot the USB stick on the APU2C4. (Boots fine, no issues)
dd of=/dev/sdb bs=1M or
gzip -dc diskimage.img.gz | dd of=/dev/sdX bs=1M (couldn't use PV)
5. Try to boot the SD card (pfSense) - Doesn't work
Building the pfSense SD card using Win32 Disk Imager works fine. Is there something about trying to use DD in TinyLinux that would cause it not to boot? I guess this is more for my information, because I'm nervous to try updating the firmware using TL if this didn't work.
