It appear the M.2 form factor is becoming more popular for cellular modems, especially from laptop manufacturers. Dell 5808e was mPCIe (Sierra MC7355), but the successor 5811 (EM7455) is M.2. Seems to be the same for Lenovo as well, Gobi 4000 was mPCIe, while the EM73xx and EM74xx are M.2 form factor.
Does anyone have any experience is this style of adapter in the APU? https://www.amazon.com/Ableconn-MPEX-M2WL-Wireless-miniPCIe-Adapter/dp/B01MR76H5F/
