I am currenly doing my master thesis about high throughput wireless mesh networks and will be using the APU2C4 boards as my mesh stations.
Preferably I would like to install OpenWRT on them. I have minimal experience installing software on these low-level devices and would appreciate any help.
I managed to create a custom image ( openwrt-x86-x64-combined-ext4.img.gz ) using some online resources (mostly https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/pcengines/apu2).
Now I would like to install this image on my device's internal storage using my bootable usb stick I prepared for this. I tried booting this USB on a laptop and it booted openwrt just fine.
Obviously, when restarting the device OpenWRT was not permanently installed.
So, how would I go about permanently installing my created image on my internal storage.
If anyone has any recommendations about anything, please feel free to contribute.
Kind Regards, Ralph
