On the alix6f2 product page, I find the following disclaimer:
"Modem modules based on Qualcomm chipsets (most on the market) don't work reliably with the AMD CS5536 USB controller unless the USB rate is limited to 12 Mb/s !!! Please see our support forum or contact our technical support for more detailed instructions. Some Ericsson modules don't observe the reset signal, difficult to get a proper reset on warm reboot."
However, in this forum I cannot find any more details on using external 3G modem USB sticks.
We start building a "LAN/WLAN to multi 3G/HSPA WAN" gateway, based on alix3d2 (not alix6f2). Since all Alix boards have the same USB controller, are there restrictions to consider when using alix3d2 with 3G USB sticks?
Please also note that we intend to use *two* 3G USB sticks connected to *one* Alix board (in order to support different providers) - would this aggravate the problem?
