Hi all,
there are many topics here about wle200vx and wle600vx and there is some confusion about the throughput one should be getting on these cards.
During last few weeks we have been doing throughput benchmarks on both of these cards under pfSense, IPFire and OpenWRT, so I can share some results.
First, these cards work perfectly in APU2 and APU3. There are however huge differences in performance between different operating systems.
pfSense will achieve about 130Mbit/s on wle200nx. It still doesn't recognize wle600vx - no drivers.
IPFire will get you about 215Mbit/s on wle600vx, perhaps more, but it's a nightmare to configure wifi correctly in this operating system.
OpenWRT performs the best. It has a full 802.11ac support out of the box and we have seen trully remarkable results.
wle600vx in full 802.11ac mode will get you 525Mbit/s. Half-gigabit throughput via WiFi is amazing to me.
