I'm trying to replace my APU1 router/firewall/AP with the APU2 Beta Board. I set it up like the old system (Debian Jessie system, copied config files) but am unable to get the AP working with hostapd using WLE200NX WiFi cards.
The problem is that hostapd claims to have started successfully (without errors), but the AP / SSID of it is not visible on any device.
There are 2 entries in debug mode which seems suspicious, but I'm not sure if they point towards an error and if so, what kind of.
When I start hostapd in debug mode (hostapd -d
wlan1: interface state COUNTRY_UPDATE->ENABLED
wlan1: Setup of interface done.
ctrl_iface not configured!
(followed by some RTM_NEWLINK messages).
When I stop the AP, I get the following error:
ath: phy0: Failed to stop TX DMA, queues=0x008!
The card and config file works fine on the old APU1, so a hardware error is very unlikely (they currently running fine after moved them back on the APU1).
I also tried a very simple hostapd setup with only interface, ssid, channel and country code set inside the config, but with the same outcome.
Has anybody made similar expiriences or does someone has an idea what I could try to get hostapd to work?
Thank you already
