I just got my APU2c4 up and running with PfSense 2.4.2 loaded. It seems to be running great!
The only problem is that after every reboot of the APU, it fails to get a WAN address. Right now, the APU is sitting inside my home network and is assigned a WAN address from my main router's DHCP server. After every boot, the APU does not aquire an address automatically.
Once booted, if I disable the WAN and them enable the WAN, it gets a WAN address and works flawlessly.
Needless to say, I need my new PCEngines Router to recover from a power failure and re-aquire a new WAN address every time.
Any ideas? I'm not sure if this is an APU issue, or a PfSense issue.
Mike=========== Edit I've found a workaround. I installed the cron package on Pfsense. I then created a crontab entry: @reboot ifconfig igb0 down && ifconfig igb0 up ... This has successfully reset the WAN interface at each reboot so far, and I've been able to get an IP address assigned to the WAN interface.
