My name is Jean-Michel Pouré and I am a former distributor of PC Engines.
I would like to invite PC Engines Enthousiasts to visit my last project:
This project allows to build an unofficial installer for Debian x32 and x64 using serial console
It is suitable for Debian APU 1 & 2 (and probably 3) and needs more beta testing.
The project is based around the idea that a vast number of computers from PC Engines to Supermicro servers use serial console and it is always difficult to find a suitable installation script for Debian. In the past, I used to provide an installer at Gooze, but it needed quite a lot of maintenance. This new script is based on Debian official tools and I will make my best to modify directly Debian installer script, but it could take some time.
Feel free to create your own installer using this new script. Booting from USB is directly possible. On the converse, the APU requires booting from a CD-ROM and is yet untested under i386.
