yet another feature request for next board versions:
Add an micro-sd slot and let the SoC directly load the bootloader/bios from there. Of course requires that the SoC can do that - in ARM world that's pretty standard, but I'm yet unsure about x86 SoCs.
The idea behind is making the whole bios/bootloader stuff easily replacable (no flashing and jtag - just replace the sdcard as it is) - even for field upgrades. So, no risk of bricking anymore.
If the SoC doesn't have an sd stage0 loader, this could be done in sw, on a small flash. But that flash shouldn't be writable, unless a jumper is explicitly set (to keep out potential firmware infection).
