I am trying the instructions found at:
When I start the machine, it boots from the USB stick, asks for language, etc. and when it gets to the DHCP step, it fails to configure the network.
So I configured it manually instead. And now it gets to selecting a mirror, and tells me:
┌────────────┤ [!!] Choose a mirror of the Debian archive ├─────────────┐

When it is trying to download the packages, the NIC blinks 3 quick blinks, pause, repeat. Most machines would have some of the lights on always, and much more blinking, but this one doesn't. Also the switch show no traffic.
With the cable plugged in, my switch shows that the cable is in, and the link is 1 Gbps.
If I unplug and plug in the network cable, it does one quick blink.
At any time, if I check my managed switch to see what MAC addresses it sees on the port where the APU is plugged in, it has no MAC found
- I have no idea how to get to a command prompt (other tty, to test network) with a serial console ... is this possible? How?
- Is this a known issue with any BIOS version?
- Is this a sign that my netowork card is broken?
